Good Day. Had a great time and the locals that showed us around were a fun group to ride with. Wish more folks could have made it.

So how was the ride? Well, Slick. That was the theme for the day.  A little snow on sandstone makes for near zero traction. Lots of sliding around and full throttle hill climb attempts. Several were impressive to watch. Lots of short steep climbs. A completely different terrain than other places I've been. Looking forward to going back when it is a little warmer and dry. Lightweight was the ticket today.

Carnage- I met my required one busted steering joint per ride quota.  Nick has a little more exciting story to tell! He is going to blame the spotter but don't believe a word he says :)

Scott

Well... I went down this strangely angled/off-camber/undercut spot, turned around to come back up it.  Scott and Kim were sitting at the top, and I got out of shape and started backing out of it.  Scott told me to keep backing up, I had my wheels cut to the right and needed them cut to the left, so I went over on my passenger side.  No biggie - broke my other limit strap and coil retainer, so when Jimmy winched me back over, he kept winching it over so we could stick the coil back in.  Ratchet straps make good coil retainers.  Oh, I need bead-locks, which also means I need it warm up since my patio/shop is open.
